I Know very little about music?
The Progressive Pianist was designed with you in mind. The course begins with the assumption that you have no musical background and incrementally adds to the basics with constant review of facts already learned. Everything is clearly explained in layman's terms and carefully demonstrated on the recordings.
How much time will it take?
Very little preparation time is necessary. Success in learning to play the piano is largely dependent upon the student maintaining a daily practice routine. All you need do is sit with your child when he begins each new lesson. When he is able to play through the piece without help, allow him to practice on his own for 1-2 weeks until it is perfected.
At what age should I start my child?
The formal study of music should begin at least by the time the child can read, at about 6-9 years of age. Older students will move more quickly through the material but all age levels must cover the same fundamentals.

What if my child has already had some piano?
Since various music methods introduce theory concepts in different sequences, it is advisable to begin with Part One of this series. The student will find the work easy, move through the lessons quickly, and may even discover a new understanding of facts that he has struggled with.
How much does it cost?
The retail price for Part One is $45.00 - one year's worth of lessons for well below the cost of one month's typical private tuition.
